Your culinary journey aboard the Royal Scotsman begins as soon as the whistle blows. As the train picks up speed through Scotland's stunning ancient landscapes, including a crossing of the iconic Forth Railway Bridge. Indulge in a light afternoon tea and join us for a special appearance by the exclusive wine merchants. L'Art du Vin are renowned for their organic and biodynamic wines crafted by artisanal and ethical producers. Head to the Observation Car for an exclusive tutored wine masterclass where you'll discover genius food pairing tips and ideas.


As the train approaches Keith, its first stabling point, dinner is served. The Chef's inventive menus showcase the finest local ingredients, including wild halibut, hand-dived scallops, and Aberdeen Angus beef. They source chanterelles, wild garlic, and bitter cress directly from Scotland's bountiful wilderness.

As you journey through Inverness this morning, prepare your taste buds for an immersive exploration of Scotland's famous 'water of life'. Join the Whisky Ambassador in the Observation Car for a guided tasting of a variety of malts.


Continue your journey through Achnasheen, climbing to the Luib summit and Achnashellach Forest before descending to Strathcarron. At lunchtime, meet local artisan producers and sample some of Scotland's finest culinary delights.


Upon arrival in the picturesque village of Plockton, disembark for a boat trip to witness a colony of wild seals and take in the stunning views across the bay to the Applecross Mountains. Back at the harbor, savor a selection of fresh local seafood accompanied by a pint of craft ale or a dram of Talisker from the nearby Isle of Skye distillery. Meet the brewers of the ale and the experts behind the revered single malt, promising a taste of Skye in every sip.


In the evening, dress for a formal dinner followed by coffee and liqueurs in the Observation Car.

Kyle of Lochalsh - Aviemore - Dundee

This morning, embark on a short coach journey to Rothiemurchus Estate in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Joining you is Scotland's renowned Food Tourism Ambassador, Ghillie Basan, along with her son Zeki, founder and head instructor of Highland Survival Skills. Together, they will unveil the secrets of Scottish wild recipes.


For lunch, indulge in a barbecue feast paired with whisky, set against a breathtaking mountain backdrop. Ghillie will share her inspiring story of living in the Cairngorms and being elected as a Food Ambassador for Scotland.


On the final night of the Epicurean Highland Adventure, rejoin the train in Boat of Garten and set off for Dundee. Prepare for more culinary surprises, courtesy of Chef Lorna McNee.
